M+K assists by providing a comprehensive in-house seminar program which covers not only the compulsory MCLE units but a variety of topics that constantly update Lawyers on changes within the law.
Attendance to these seminars also provides a great opportunity to network amongst co-workers and understand more about their area of expertise and where that may add value to clients.
M+K also encourages staff to attend seminars and conferences externally to ensure they gain as much knowledge as required.
Your career program
Along with the in-house seminar series, M+K conducts a Your Career program for selected Lawyers. This program is conducted to assist participants to think about where they are at in their career and prompt questions such as "What are your goals?" "What is the way forward for you?" "What do you do next?" "Are you ready for it?" One of the main aims is for participants to better understand M+K and where they fit now and in the future.
The 'Your Career Program' has been a significant success and the firm has been conducting it over the last five years.
Paid study leave
M+K encourages and supports its staff to pursue qualifications that will improve their knowledge and skills. Paid study assistance is available after 12 months continuous employment and for courses that provide specialist education directly relevant to both the employee and the company.

M+K continually discusses career paths with people and provides clearly documented guidelines for people who aspire to the levels of Associate, Senior Associate and Principal. Communication is important and we pride ourselves in developing careers within the firm.
